The Monk Joke

Luna requested I do this, and I just couldn't resist.
So I'm putting the monk joke here, in case anyone hasn't heard it yet.
One post at a time.

A man is driving through the countryside on a long trip. On the way to wherever he's going, his car breaks down outside a monastery, and he can't start the car again, no matter how hard he tries to restart the engine.

Wanting to continue his journey and frustrated by his situation, the man walks into the monastery and asks the monks inside if they can help him fix his car. The monks agree, and that night the man sleeps in the monastery while the monks fix his car.

The man hears strange noises coming from his car whilst the monks are fixing it, but nonetheless falls alseep. The next morning the man finds that the car is fixed, and thanks the monks for their hard work. He also inquires about the noises coming from the car the previous night. The monks reply to him "I can't tell you, you're not a monk."

The man doesn't ask any further questions and leaves the monastery in his newly fixed car.
A few days later he returns via the same route, when his car breaks down again, close to the monastery as it had before. The man enters the monastery again and once again asks the monks if they can fix his car.

The monks agree, and that night the man sleeps in the monastery whilst the monks tend to his car. Again, the man hears strange noises coming from his car, but nonetheless falls asleep.

The next morning the man approaches the monks, thanks them for fixing his car, and asks about the strange noises from the previous night. The monks again reply to his question with "I can't tell you, you're not a monk.".

The man thinks about the question and the monks' replies for a while, and a while later returns to the monastery. The man goes back to the monks and tells them that he will become a monk. So the man leaves his house, leaves his car and trains for a long time until he finally becomes a monk.

One day the monks show him a wooden door - no matter how hard he tries or how much effort he puts into opening the door, it will not open. The monks tell him that if he sits outside the door and prays for a long time, then the door will open. So the man prays outside the door and, after praying for an hour, the door opens.

Behind the wooden door lay a metal door. The man sat outside the metal door and prayed for a while. Then, after praying for 2 hours, the metal door opened.

Behind the metal door lay a copper door. The man sat outside the copper door and prayed for a while. Then, after praying for 3 hours, the copper door opened.

Behind the copper door lay a bronze door. The man sat outside the bronze door and prayed for a while. Then, after praying for 4 hours, the bronze door opened.

Behind the bronze door lay a silver door. The man sat outside the silver door and prayed for a while. Then, after praying for 5 hours, the silver door opened.

Behind the silver door lay a gold door. The man sat outside the gold door and prayed for a while. Then, after praying for 6 hours, the gold door opened.

Behind the gold door lay a diamond door. The man sat outside the diamond door and prayed for a while. Then, after praying for 7 hours, the diamond door opened.

Behind the diamond door lay a magic door. The man sat in front of the magic door and prayed for a long time. Hours passed, and the man still sat and prayed until finally the door opened. And you know what happened?
